The Borough of Mechanicsburg Recycles!

The Recycling Committee, which has been meeting for several years, has been reorganized as a subcommittee of the EAC. It is continuing its work to expand recycling in our community within the context of the overall EAC vision. The Recycling Committee meets as needed. Recycling Committee members work in conjunction with the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce and the Mechanicsburg Environmental Clubs to provide recycling service for the annual Earth Day, Streets of Treats and Jubilee Day Event.

Committee members are:

Diane Hollinger, Carl Hursh, Dave Hoover, Cese Viti, Justin Miller of the Cumberland County Solid Waste Authority and Glenda Boyer who is the Borough Recycling Coordinator.

• If you are in need of a new recycling bin, due to the fact that your current bin is damaged, you may bring in your current bin and trade it in for a new one free of charge. If you would like to own 2 bins for large amounts of recycling, additional bins are available for $5.00 a piece. Our new bins are larger than our old ones as well, so if you would like to have a larger recycling bin please bring your old one in to trade for a new one.
